Fabulous trick I learned in undergrad: read the abstract and conclusion. Then, if it resonates, read the rest.

Ok, back to the regularly unscheduled arting. 🙃

Hold on. Wait just one minute. I *lived* there and didn’t “get” this until right now! Hahaha I am so dumb!!! 🤣🤣🤣👏

Yes! Oh no! Apologies! I thought I was responding to both of you with my comments! Still learning how things work. I agree with Lisa about the correct reference 🙏

Deleting the "l" and leaving it as "moules être" is more fun, but I am not sure if it would be in Lyle's lexicon. But then again... maybe anything is possible with that character.

How my brain "works:" "Gee, I wonder if there is a pun in here?" then fall down a rabbithole about a fish 😆 (which is a wild ride, btw). Next thought, "OK, is there a French pun??" But I need to ask for help with that one as "moules l'être" makes no sense 🤣

Hello again! I like your question much better than my initial answer, so I filmed it instead. 😆

Interesting question! Thank you! In this piece, I put water down on the paper, then dropped in various acrylic inks, moving them by handling the paper. The inks act a little like watercolors, blending, with equally (maddeningly!) unpredictable results.

You know how there are several reasons why the Roman Empire fell, but centuries later we weirdly focus on the lead pipes, to the exclusion of the more obvious and overtly evil stuff?

This is a post about journalism.

Could have made my point much less vulnerably and cringe! It's a good tool for toothpaste, and every household should have at least one (maybe but I would never tell you what to do). That "ooh! a SPARKLY!" up there was a gift, but there are smaller, cheaper versions. Search "tube key tool."

Exactly! 🤣

I think I hear “cut-throat” also, and agree with Lisa that it makes sense contextually. But I keep thinking, wouldn’t it be just like Lyle to throw in a twist with “gut-throat?” 🤣

I have changed my mind and will not be deleting this post. Thank you for your attention to this matter 🙏
