Unbelievably, #DuvetKnowItsChristmas generates such good will on social media that over the years we've raised somewhere approaching a quarter of a million quid for homeless charities. If you can spare a bob or two, sling some to Centrepoint, and here's the link: www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...

Listening to one of our children practice Silent Night on their cornet and I have Horatio the beagle sleeping not so silently on the couch.

I don't get the time to bake as much as I used to but I've enjoyed making this lemon cake for our daughter's special birthday.

Today I had a wonderful annual leave. I saw Diarmaid MacCulloch talk about Christianity and sex at the history festival. I am currently reading his book about this "Lower Than The Angels". Followed by a visit to Harvington Hall and seeing the priest holes.

Watching our children perform in a brass band is the best feeling. I always enjoy the Pershore Brass Festival, some many talented bands. 🎺🎺

Had a wonderful time visiting London on Wednesday with my daughter. First stop was the British Library to see Medieval Women and Silk Road exhibitions. Then to see Van Gogh's work & followed by a visit to Gagosian Gallery to see Japanese Art à la Takashi Murakami. A day full of art.

Kim Collison wins the mens/open race at the Montane Winter Spine Race 2025

As redemption stories go, there are few more dramatic than this. Getting to the finish line of the Spine Race can take year’s of preparation sacrifice and heartache. In this case 4 years of consistent effort resilience…

The Arctic conditions have obviously made it tough going for our runners, but it’s a photographer’s playground up on the Pennine Way.

As the team thaw out their boots and de-ice their cameras, here’s a selection of photos captured throughout day 1 of the Montane Winter Spine Races 2025.

I love to follow the dots on the live tracker map. I love walking but what the participants do must push them to their physical and mental limits. The beautiful scenery must be worth it though! Good luck to all the participants. #SpineRace #WinterSpine
Montane Winter Spine Challenger South 2025

Out on the Pennine Way, the runners in the Winter Spine Challenger South are already over three hours into their race and the conditions are seriously tough…

It was a busy New Years Day when I was born at the local hospital. My mom was one of the proud mothers who had our picture taken as part of the newspaper article.

Today has been a good birthday. I've received some wonderful new books and made time to sit and read a book. The first read for 2025 is A Tomb With a View.

Highly recommend @peteralanross.bsky.social book. I read Steeple Chasing in the summer, now my husband is reading it today. We both have pledged to read more but also visit some of these sites. I have received a Tomb With a View for my birthday today and it's another great read.

The best part of Christmas Eve is following @rhodri.biz thread for #duvettheyknowitschristmas it's all for a good cause also. Please donate if you can.
6/ Incredibly, over the last few years around £200,000 has been raised for homeless charities as a result of this thing. So, this year, if you're enjoying the pix, you could fling a few quid to Centrepoint via this link: gofund.me/637d21d0
