Tearing down is easy. Building legislation is boring, long difficult work. I am begging purity single-issue voters to run for local office, where 1) they can run on their single-issue values (you can't hyperfocus on larger levels) and 2) they can see how hard it is to actually build things.

PSA to my friends in California near the fires: breathing in wildfire smoke is really bad for you (even if it’s not super thick where you are) but if you have face masks (N95, KN95, etc) those can help a lot
