I have one of those, as well, and will occasionally bust it out for some level of nostalgia.

But, I'll confess: I think it's one of the worst controllers ever made. Part of that is because I'm 6'5" and have giant bananahands that don't fit it well, but I'm still not a fan.

And it infuriates me that there is an entire half or more of the country - politicians, especially - whose only metric for "right" and "wrong" is "If it's profitable, it must be right."

I didn't buy the console, but you damn skippy I bought that controller to play N64 games on my Switch.

(Okay, maybe 600+ miles is not the best example, but Portland to Seattle should be really easy.)

The coasts of this country should be easily traversable by frequent, easy trains that stop at stations serviced by robust local bus routes. Might be a little harder in less dense areas, but there shouldn't be any reason I can't hop on an express train from Portland to SF.

I don't disagree with that. And I love the concept of properly developed self-driving vehicles, with massive amounts of oversight and concurrent infrastructure upgrades. I drive a Tesla, and I won't ever trust the self-drive.

I also agree: Good, well-maintained mass transit would be the ideal.

If that's real, I assume it's for Microsoft Flight Simulator?

No only do I love buying and having physical media for just about every form of entertainment, but in a world where physical versions are dwindling, I'm more likely to experience FOMO for a physical copy.

I've seen a few pretty good solutions for doing DIY concrete countertops.

I fucking hate that line.

Makes you wonder what that dude thought of rapists before having a kid, huh?

I remember seeing Conan The Barbarian on blu-ray for the first time as a teenager. I'd seen the TV version a ton as a kid, but there are entire sections just.... gone... from that version. I'm pretty sure they cut out basically all of the scene with the witch.

I mean: Are we okay with a society where a single person can say "I'm going to leave this city IF" and that *actually means something*?

Right now, according to this article, IT ACTUALLY DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING.

We have a chance to keep it that way. But only just.
