Meet me: a husband, a dad, a fan of the EU, a socialist, and yep, a cloud engineer.
Instead of people being black or white, I added this useful chart :-)

This truly resonates and carries an impact. The depth of connection here is quite remarkable, and it feels as though the message or idea is strongly aligning with broader thoughts or experiences. It's impressive how much meaning and relevance can be found in this.
This resonates more and more everyday

A study by Oxford Economics (2018), cited by Cranbrook Legal, found:
- European migrants contributed £2,300 more to public finances annually than the average UK adult.
- Non-European migrants also showed a net positive contribution of £28,000, annually.
It’s just racism, the like we haven’t seen in Britain in my lifetime.

Power is the rock on which truth founders. The mainstream media, with a few exceptions, is a single-issue lobby group, whose purpose is to assert the rights of capital.
Here's what I've learnt about the industry in 40 years in journalism.

I have now been a journalist for 40 years. The forces ranged against my profession have never been so powerful | George Monbiot
Once, I believed that humanity’s problem was an information deficit. Now, I know you can’t speak truth to power if power controls your words, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Is the BBC Reform UK's mouthpiece? Yup.

"Researchers at Cardiff University have produced a detailed analysis of every episode of the BBC’s flagship Question Time programme broadcast between September 2014 and July 2023 to see if the broadcaster was balancing political viewpoints."
Is the BBC now the official mouthpiece for Reform?
A study of the BBC’s Question Time has raised concerns about representation and political impartiality

Liar, liar, pants on fire...
Lies without hesitation. Like Trump

NOTHING GOOD for the U.K. will come of the air time and coverage being given to Trump v3 Farage.

Nor will the pandering of him by both Tories and Labour.

Which is what happened with Brexit.

He will exploit their weakness…as he already is.
Yesterday: Nigel Farage says Reform UK "will detain and deport absolutely anyone that comes via that route.. Yes, women and children"

Today: Nigel Farage, "Deportation of illegal immigrants, we were not even discussing women and children at this stage. The news reports who said that were wrong"

BBC sometimes seems it is run for Reform
Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

BBC News - US-EU tariff deal a big Trump win but not a total defeat for Brussels
www.bbc.com/news/article...

This is written as if EU faces a 15% tariff, when it is US consumers who will pay the higher prices.
US-EU tariff deal a big Trump win but not a total defeat for Brussels
The agreement is a major step in Trump's plan to shake up global trade, which he says was weighted against America.

Imagine being born on planet earth (the one with trees, flowers, breathable air, rainbows and mountains etc) and believing that none of this matters because the REAL heaven only comes after you die, so you recklessly destroy it for future generations.
What a colossal failure organised religion is.

UK approach to bank frauds.

HSBC fined $1.9bn in the US for money laundering. UK Chancellor Osborne, regulators protected it. No investigation.

£1bn HBOS frauds: FCA/SFO passed the buck to LLoyds Bank. Promised report in 2018. None published. No inquiry.

Corporate crime facilitated by the state.
Why the UK is a two-tier society where money wields power
Laws and policies are crafted to give the appearance of sternness and fairness, but are rarely fully enforced on corporations and the rich.

Brexit was a referendum on whether the UK should leave the European Union.

The UK has left the European Union. Referendum fulfilled.

If the people bleating about "Brexit Betrayal" wanted the Referendum to enshrine their pet policy preferences, they should have included them in the question.

The reality is, Britain economically benefits from immigration and illegal migration is too small to impact most. The communities that blame immigration for decline are actually suffering the effects of 15 yrs of Tory austerity, under-investment in public infrastructure and the reality of Brexit.
