Kent county council says union flags and flags of St George must come off street lights because of safety concerns
A Reform-led council has ruled that union and St George’s flags must come down in order for a village’s traditional Christmas lights to go ahead, in a decision described as “beyond ironic”.

Trying to get teams in work to put up Halloween decorations. Have refused because a) I’m not 7, and b) growing up Halloween was an irrelevance. It was always about Bonfire Night round our way. Still is for me, don’t need imported American crap.

This is a quite brilliant piece by Jonathan Liew, and clearly explains why the government and all politicians from the centre and right are so on the wrong side of the argument.
I really think this should be a resignation matter for Lisa Nandy, encouraging actual fascism to go to Birmingham.
