You'll be shocked to hear that Jill Stein has said not one word, posted nothing whatsoever on her Twitter or IG, about events in Syria or the fall of Assad.

Shocked, I tell you. Shocked!

Scott Jennings may be one of the most unpleasant and disingenuous people on cable television - and that’s saying a lot.
"He needs a clip for the internet."

It's obvious to the journalists at CNN that Scott Jennings does not engage in a lot of discussion in good faith.

So why has leadership made him a core part of the network's programming?

Apparently 'extreme' according to Peter Dutton is Australia voting with 156 countries (and many allied nations/partners) at the UN. It's extreme now to be on the right side of an issue, along with the vast majority of the world, because Israel and the US don't agree.

Dave Milner nailed this the other day. Aside from the sheer infantilism of culture wars, they act as an effective distraction from any meaningful discussion on the stuff which really matters. And these smarmy little anonymous Murdoch execs running H-Sun etc. know exactly what they're doing. Evil.
News Corp’s entire business model now is as one insider told me: “Wags & Hate”. And the ‘culture wars’ are the easiest path to peddle the hate which of course = clicks. They know exactly what they’re doing and they actually believe very little of it.

So a reminder:

It’s not ‘liberals’ saying Hegseth abuses women. It’s his mom.

It’s not ‘liberals’ comparing Trump to Hitler. It’s his vice-president.

It’s not ‘liberals’ calling Musk a liar and a racist. It’s his own child.

For the record.

The tech folks and much of our media are obeying in advance and Trump, the luckiest man alive!, has never faced so little media and social media scrutiny.

Difficult to describe what a dangerous moment we are in.

The owner of Twitter/richest man in the world/closest adviser to the next US president is promoting a far-right Tommy Robinson (!) documentary to his 200 million followers.

This is the mainstreaming of violent, Islamophobic fascism.

The revision of previously widely-accepted positions that goes on after elections are run gives me the absolute you-know-whats. And in this case Waleed Aly is very condescendingly helping normalise Trump. Yeah, sorry Waleed, it actually WAS a shock to many of us that the US elected this psychopath.
Trump’s win surprised many. But the real shock would have been if he’d lost
Last week, a historically unpopular government got thrown out of office. Despite what many pundits are suggesting, there is nothing extraordinary about that.
