I enjoyed season 5 enough but season 4, despite being only two episodes, was such a slog to get through for me.

I got drunk and came home with a bottle of this a couple of weeks ago. When I asked why I bought her a bottle of wine simple labeled 'red wine' with no other descriptor I could only respond 'it had Frankenstein on the bottle!'
My wife has been laughing at me since.

One of the biggest disappointments of the year.
Instead I heartily recommend reading Annie Jacobson's well researched and coldly terrifying Nuclear War: A Scenario. After finishing it some time ago, it has never been far from my mind.

Though yes, the ending is a real ruiner in that it practically undoes anything the film has going for it (Bigelow pulls her punches in pursuit of hollow ambiguity in a way that the prev mentioned films do not), the truth is that the film lost me way before that point. It became way too Hollywood.
