Turns out the media & most of Parliament is as out of touch with reality as Twitter. Dear England.
Why do people think England flags have been raised on lampposts?

Well, this is pretty terrifying. The Daily Mail is buying the Telegraph.

One massive consolidated right-wing media empire controlled by off-shore interests at a critical moment in global politics.

What could go wrong?

It may actually have a mellowing effect, unbelievable though that may sound. I could see one title staying Tory while the other goes full(er) Reform though.
I can understand objecting to the Mail taking over the telegraph for basically competition reasons but on a purely political level it’s not exactly going to make it any more feral and right wing is it

Or we could say i was a buy one get one ftee deal
Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

“Did Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?”

“Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?”

You can have those for nothing, lads.

The Conservatives & Johnson were compromised by Russian money & influence over years.

Reform obviously are.

Is Labour too? Could that be why Starmer won’t investigate?

Hypothesis: Starmer is obligated to Peter Mandelson. Why else did he give him plum Washington job?

He’s been sacked over his Epstein links. But he & Epstein had other common interests & contacts. Mandelson was friends with key Putin allies for years.

If Starmer wants an investigation into Russia, he can have one. So why is he refusing?

‘Russian links to Reform need investigating’, he says. So why is his government still fighting case now in Grand Chamber of Strasbourg court refusing to have such an investigation into Russian interference ??

one thing we haven’t talked about re Nathan Gill is how UKIP and reform were very much up on the idea of bread and water prison reform and supported Chris Graylings hacking at rehabilitation
