History nerd deluxe, avid reader, crazy garden lady, pet adoration provider, zen knitter & sometime sewer/quilter who is never, ever bored. I will absolutely block idiots, so don’t bring MAGA to my virtual doorstep unless you want a quick trip to nowhere.
What kind of two bit, cheap-assed freeloader accepts a $400million jet that only he will get to use, then will be donated to his organization - never to be used again by anyone else?

It’s not a gift to the country. It’s a gift to HIM, for his own personal use….and a violation of the Constitution.

Why yes, I did just spend $76 on treats for dogs we do not even have.

And I’d do it again.
And again.
Dogs are everything.

“Maybe the children will only have 2 dolls for Christmas.”

I think it’s high time we talk about Trump’s War On Christmas.

Don’t know if it was my German half or my Scandinavian half that prompted it, but one (or both) were very happy today. I made Frikadellen, with chive & parsley potatoes roasted in olive oil & butter, & cole slaw. And there was gravy made with sour cream, for the chef’s kiss. Let the food coma begin.

It’s Sunday. Time to play “Racist, Stupid, or Both?”.

This is the lieutenant governor of Indiana. He’s a pastor whose strengths do not include history or math.

Faith leaders urge Braun to condemn Beckwith's remarks on Three-Fifths Compromise
After heated and emotional debate over Senate Bill 289, Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith took to X, where he called the Three-Fifths Compromise "a great move."

So, Tesla’s in the toilet and Elon’s stepping away from the disaster that is DOGE, in order to rescue his failing company.
If I were a betting person, I’d wager a lot on him blaming employees for the failure, and cutting a lot of jobs.

Nothing says Happy Easter like making pizza and working on a Halloween throw.
Best low-key holiday, ever.

Not really good at her job, is she?

First piece of information that entered my brain upon waking:
“Pope Francis has passed away.”

First thought that left my mouth:
“JD Vance ruins everything.”

Happened to hear Dolly Parton’s original I Will Always Love You, just now.

And I can honestly say, I had trouble breathing. It literally stops the breath in my throat. Every. Single. Time.

Just a reminder that music is magic and she is the most powerful magician.

Ooof. That first full day of yard work is always a doozy. I didn’t realize that a person could actually hobble.
Consider my ass whooped.

Trump supporters think he’s making genius moves.

He’s basically the chicken who escapes the coop, takes a dump on the Monopoly board, kicks the playing pieces around the board, then struts off the table like he’s won.

The only things Donald Trump is shittier at being than a businessman are being President and being a decent human being.

The stock market is expected to drop at least 1300 points tomorrow.

So, MAGA…..how many dozen eggs do you think that money could have bought?

I didn’t think anyone could be more inept at understanding how company websites should function than small printer resellers.

I was wrong. Sewing machine resellers have them beat. So much awful.

Knowing your product does not matter if you don’t know how to market it or keep your website current.

Today, I reminded myself why I don’t shop on Sundays.

I’ll file that away for the next 2-3 years, until I need to learn that lesson again.

My husband had a tooth pulled the other day. Since then, he’s wanted nothing but pudding, cheese and soft sandwiches.

I feel like I’ve consumed more bread and cheese in the past two days than a 19th century French peasant. And there hasn’t even been any wine.

“For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. “

MAGA - bringing the Bible to life……in the worst possible way.

Just saw someone’s comment on Amway that “Some people are so willing to catch a glimpse of the American dream, and in desperation join this and other pyramids schemes”

And it explains MAGA perfectly.

My cousin in Kentucky is die hard MAGA. He’s also worshipped Rand Paul long before the coming of Orange Jesus.

What will his brain do, now that Rand has declared tariffs bad?
Will it explode? Or will it just sigh & cast a longing gaze at Rand as it hobbles off like Gollum, in thrall to Precious?
April 3, 2025 at 12:56 PM
Based on FOTUS’s theorizing, we’re going to use tariffs to bring manufacturing back to America.

Conveniently leaving out the fact that we are already the No.2 manufacturing power for global output, in the world. Only China produces & exports more.

It’s just another one of Donald’s scams.
