Joking about term limits may just be a tactic of testing the boundaries or normalizing an outrageous position.

But the Constitution is not optional and no one should be acting like it is.

Trump cannot be elected to a third term.

When police claim assault and arrest and charge protesters on that basis—but bystander footage of the incident shows no assault took place—in some states there would be consequences. In NH, you get a job in the Ayotte administration. #NHPolitics www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2025...
Police said two UNH student protesters assaulted officers. New body camera footage suggests otherwise.
An investigation by the Concord Monitor found that multiple statements officers made about the UNH protest — in police reports, an affidavit, and criminal complaints — were likely inaccurate.

"The decision from Judge Fernando Rodriguez Jr., a Trump appointee, that Trump's invocation of a wartime power to summarily deport Venezuelan nationals is "unlawful" is the latest sharp rebuke to one of Trump’s most aggressive efforts to quickly carry out deportations with little or no due process."
Trump’s use of Alien Enemies Act for swift deportations is illegal, Trump-appointed judge rules
The Alien Enemies Act applies only when the country is facing an armed, organized attack, the judge ruled.

Trump didn’t declare martial law. He built it. His April 28 executive order militarizes police, guts oversight, and punishes dissent. The Insurrection Act report is hidden. Democracy is being signed away—one order at a time. #Resist #Authoritarianism Full Article: www.facebook.com/share/p/16KE...

There are at least 3 ways Trump could claim a third term:

1️⃣ some sort of electoral bait and switch using the Twenty-Second Amendment's terminology of "elected" president.

2️⃣ the next victor cedes the presidency to Trump, as Speaker of the House.

3️⃣ an new Constitutional amendment.
Take Trump’s Third-Term Threats Seriously
The president’s vaulting ambition may run afoul of the Constitution, but you can’t rule out the Supreme Court providing him with an assist.

The relegation of these protests to footnotes is more than just an editorial failure—it’s part of a broader pattern where establishment media normalizes extreme policies while marginalizing opposition.
