Modified Space Marine Captain from the Combat Patrol collection. I put a skull instead of the helmet so that it would look like the dead Terminator from the 3rd and 4th edition of Space Hulk. I built a throne with white cardboard and he's resting on it.

Found this Khemsa I did years ago. At the time it was the best I'd done, but now I see all kinds of tiny corrections I want to make but it still holds up. #miniatures #conan #monolith

Painting weapons:

1: Basecoat of Intermediate Green.

2: Highlights- Livery Green and shadows - Dark Sea Blue

Shadows and highlights are placed opposite to maximize contrast.

3: Blend.

4: Use Yellow Green, Ice Yellow, White for edges and highlights.

Painting power/glowing weapons - example of Tyranid sword 1: basecoat of Intermediate Green 70.891. A couple of thin coats. 2: mark the bright points with Livery Green 72.033 and shadows with Dark Sea Blue 70.898. Notice that shadows and highlights are placed opposite to each other to achieve maximum contrast 3: blend the transitions. Mix the in-between colors and add thin lines—no need for perfect blends. 4: use Yellow Green 70.954, Ice Yellow 70.858 and White 70.951 to add edges and final highlights. The brighter the color the smaller the highlights up to little dots of pure white.
