We are spending $1 trillion every year on the military. That's more than the next NINE nations combined.

Meanwhile, millions lack health care & we have the highest childhood and senior poverty rate of almost any major country.

Congress needs to get its priorities straight.

This is why our politicians vote to increase the military budget when overwhelming majorities of voters in both parties oppose it.

Why have we handed our economy & technological future over to this blinking, sheltered man-child who can't imagine life before doordash?

I'm so glad these people are being exposed for morons.

Please do more interviews, Alex Karp, Sam Altman, Thiel and others.

These billionaires are freaks, folks. They aren't prophets or geniuses who will save humanity. They're more like the pharoah, but dumber.

There's a media blackout on the FBI's new enemies list and cash fund for snitching on people harboring things like "anti-Americanism."

What little coverage its gotten has been laughably bad:

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years as a result of a deliberate strategy. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

Man… I’ve been really doing a good job of not getting super upset about Trump’s and Elon’s bullshit, but catching just seconds of that meeting with Zelensky did, in fact, trigger me.

Oopies…. Just briefly cancelled prevention for ebola.
Elon Musk: "We will make mistakes. We won't be perfect ... so for example, with USAID, one of the things we accidentally canceled very briefly was ebola prevention."

It’s the time of year where I note that the Baseball Hall of Fame is kind of a joke without Barry Bonds, Pete Rose and Roger Clemens.

What if UK and Europe collected the corporate and cap gains taxes Trump wants to eliminate (and will certainly lower) for access to their markets/consumers? Very interesting idea.
As Trump moves forward with his tariff war & "drill drill" obsession, we hear a lot that "Europe must do something". This is wonderful—but what exactly?

So far I have seen just one concrete plan. Now is the time to discuss it

Mike Johnson is threatening to condition California wildfire aid to raising the debt ceiling, which would pave the way for another round of deficit-spiking tax cuts for the wealthy.

Playing politics with people's lives to make your donors richer is reprehensible.

As with many successful pedestrian people-streets in many other cities around the world, the idea of removing cars & trams from OSLO’s Karl Johans Gate was initially very controversial before the eventual transformation in the 1980s. But the prestigious shopping street & main city stroll flourished.

Funny how 5 years ago we had all these debates about wealth taxation, and a big argument was that billionaires don't have that much power really—and right after that Musk bought Twitter for $44B, used it to get Trump win, and now to prop up the global neo-nazi movement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
