We were then picked up by “coyotes“ with a cattle truck and smuggled up to Colorado where I was unwittingly bought at auction by Rep. Gabe Evans of Ft. Lupton. Since he didn‘t know the first thing about raising cattle, he enlisted a neighbor to take care of me.
