Mmm🤔 This is interesting, I wonder how many other services still rely on the 198kHz signal
This may be of interest to the radio community in the UK: Radio4 LW 198kHz switch off date isn’t official from what I can find, but this information from OFGEM says that the “radio teleswitch” (RTS) service is due to end 30th June 2025 which depends on the 198kHz signal.

Mmm. Radio reception was somewhat lacking tonight.
After spending lots of time pressing buttons and looking through settings of the FT-817 it turned something less complicated.
Looking out of the window I see the support holding the wire up is down. 😂🤔.
