40,000 US troops in the Middle East right now & any lingering faith that Iran + allies in Iraq, Yemen & beyond had in Trump’s dealmaking instincts is now shattered. Very hard to imagine Tehran agreeing with Trump that peace will now come; more likely they perceive an all-out war for regime survival.
