This was my husbands birthday, he would have been 66. Christmas was his fav time of year. I miss him every single day, even though I have a great relationship again it doesn’t take the pain of loss away.

It’s still not out. This fire has been burning for 39 days, we were allowed home yesterday after being evacuated for 38 days.

So there are no provided overnight accommodations available anymore as people who were evacuated 14 aug run out of money because they wanted to be comfortable for the couple weeks we were told it would be (actually 72 hours)

Following the partial re-entry of residents in Annapolis County, the evacuation shelter located at NSCC Middleton will transition to standby status on September 4 at 8 am. It will be reinstated, if needed.

The Long Lake wildfires complex is still out of control. More precise estimate is now 8247 hectares. No further news on damage. Air and ground crews continue to focus on east side of Paradise Lake, also working around entire perimeter. 1/3
