This is really cool but also a cautionary tale about zooanthroponotic transmission at the interface between human and animals. Without surveillance, viruses can hop back and forth and evolve in unpredictable ways
This is quite late but our lab has a preprint out about a SARS-CoV-2 situation we had in mink in Lithuania back in 2021. It's a doozy with re-emergence of extinct lineages, a country-wide test of all mink farms in Lithuania & some interesting dynamics in mink. www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1... 1/5🧵

The revolution will be accessible or it's not much of a revolution. Access is not just about disability access. Access also includes gender neutral bathrooms, sliding scale option, childcare, ending food desserts so folks can have access to nourishing foods, clean air and water, language justice.

The idea of “social murder” is super useful, and we need to get comfortable using it. Engels is the best, man - reading him feels like finally acknowledging the obvious reality everyone wants you to ignore

But the Cleveland Clinic (which has a profitable wellness branch), Duke Health, WebMD, Healthline, UCLA, Johns Hop etc are indistinguishable from quacks like Dr Oz. Americans are so poorly served

Many people will say they disagree with hormone blockers/HRR for under 18 because "how do kids know?" Never thinking about that if you're saying a child doesn't know but you force them into specific bathrooms, clothes, ETC is abusive. Your forcing of gender throughout life is violent.
