So, I’m gonna try updating this every so often to keep track of the progress , and to see what happens I guess. I haven’t really thought about it. This whole thread was on a whim. If you read all thank you, and if your taking melatonin , only do it for two months! (Fin)

That gets us to present day. It’s been 3 nights of no melatonin or unisom. I am practicing clearing my mind at night for bed, I am taking my cute little delta gummy , and I am waking up clear minded, in a good mood, less irritable in the mornings, and more focused than before. (10/🧵)

Sorry, just to fill in. I finally googled (after taken melatonin every night for 10 give or take years) what side effects are of taking melatonin on a regular basis was. The answers, anxiety , stomach problems, and depression. 🤭🫣 (9/🧵)

I finally felt rested. I woke up in a good mood, that good mood was with me most if not all day. I had not as many problems waking up as I was. The cons were, it was hard to fall asleep, my brain didn’t like to stop thinking of everything in the universe. The pros just outweighed the cons (8/🧵)

I noticed I was still tired, never enough sleep, my anxiety was through the roof every night, I was so unhappy and angry. So, I decided let’s see how this edible alone does. Literally never just tried the edible. It was still a challenge to cosplay dying, but we go there, and guess what. (7/🧵)

As it got worse , I added other things including Unisom, and delta 8/9 edibles. My night time cocktail was half (sometimes whole) edible , 1 10mg melatonin, and 1 unisom. This was to help me sleep, and sleep through a partner who snores like a boat horn. (6/🧵)

My uncle advised to take melatonin, it helps sleep, it’s natural, and I won’t OD from it! Yay! The thing is, I never stopped. Till now, my insomnia has gotten (IMO) worse, and I’m never not tired , grumpy all the time, easy to piss off , all things people love and seek in others right. (5/🧵)

So, I started feeling light headed during the day, groggy, and sick. Let my family know how I was feeling and what I did (I did this more than once sadly.) and turns out it was signs of overdosing 🎉🥳. So those were taken away quick fast and in a hurry. (4/🧵)

Let’s welcome to the stage, over the counter sleep medicine. The fun things about these, as I’ve learned, you can build up a tolerance!🤭 Which I did, so what did young me do, take almost a handful (at least 8 pills if not more.) That’s right! How did you know! (3/🧵)

To explain why I started taking melatonin is fairly easy. I’ve battled with insomnia since I was a kid. I wouldn’t be able to sleep while everyone else was snoring. No matter what I did. I tried everything , tea, no screens, lavender scent everything, nothing worked. (2/🧵)
