the best part of auDHD is wanting to play a comfort game, and having that game change about 3 times before getting to your PC

I personally don't bother with clearsky. I trust the people who block me to have valid reasons to do so.

Furthermore; you do not showcase what you are doing until a vertical slice exists. No trailers. No threads. No modDB pages full of asset renders.
my favorite aspect of successfully shipping a mod is being able to post-mortem its development, and understand how working on it was truly a "brushstroke a day" type of deal. Every small task you do every day slowly adds up to the final product, and rushing will rob you of that.

by far, the best thing you can do for yourself, with regards to practicing and continuing to play a musical instrument, is to have it ready to pick up and jam on, with minimal setup time.

To add to this, dreams don't just appear from thin air when you want them to. When you have an idea for a gameplay mechanic that makes you smile with excitement, write that fucker down. Hold on to it. Remind yourself of it every day, use it to plan, and start SMALL. Be ready for it to take two years
A game is a product of a dream and a vision.

The dream is the "ideas guy" stuff. It's a commitment to the glorious experience that you want people to have.

The vision is the list of daily steps you will take towards getting there, in lieu of doomscrolling.

Without either, you have nothing.

I made a halo 1 firefight map! I've been putting off plugging it here for some reason, but yeh. It's just neat to be able to look back on the entire experience, and develop scripting templates for future maps. We'll talk of them when they're good and ready.

my favorite part of owning a well-renowned vintage synth is being able to generate the sound from (insert prog album here) but its just you noodling around and pressing buttons. No gen-ai, no computer.

This is a Sinclair ZX Spectrum prototype. It was found in 2019 during a visit to 'Nine Tiles', the company that wrote the development software for the Spectrum. It is now on display at the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge. Such an important part of British computing history.
