Wanting to build my own analog electronic organ, I decided to learn wirewrap prototyping back in 2018 after wanting to step up from breadboards, but not quite being ready to design PCBs. It was a zen, day-by-day job that felt like sewing an electronic quilt.

Lots of odd jobs, map stubs, and shitpost mods since I was never great at finishing anything. This year, however, I've been able to focus my efforts on a firefight map for Halo 1 on MCC. Hoping to release in the somewhat near future after hammering away at it for 6 months; it's a fun time in co-op.

As someone who just painstakingly replaced 61 tantalum capacitors off a tone generator board, it's great to have posts like this validate the decision. I hear horror stories about how they go bad (explosively).

hand-replaced every single electrolytic capacitor on this organ tone generator a couple days ago. Happy to report it passed the smoke test, and will make a fine addition to The Behemoth.
