New - Nigel Farage has been found by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to have made 17 standards breaches, adding up to over £380,000 in late declarations.

He’s apologised, so no further investigation (which seems unusual for a breach this large)

NEW: NEW: Standards commissioner finds Nigel Farage committed seventeen breaches of MPs code of conduct.

He failed to declare £333,000 in outside interests (more than 3x MPs annual salary)…

As Sir John Major said, funding of political parties needs to be thought about carefully. Rich donors “expect something in return”. The current system is wide open to corruption.
This is the guy who gave Boris Johnson £1 million and then won a big MoD contract....
Reform gets largest ever political donation by an individual in UK history from a crypto baron living in Thailand

The super-rich rightwing are pouring money into Reform. Do ordinary voters really think their aim is to even out social inequality and make their lives better? Do they think they’re doing it so Farage invests in infrastructure and public services? Ffs. Democracy being beaten to death in plain sight.

What a wonderful story - and a beautiful illustration of the power of the arts.

Great writing expands our imagination. It helps us to see the world in new ways.

And that has consequences that can never be measured by "average starting salaries" or "contribution to GDP".
Great culture can save lives. Literally.

Absolutely right, all parties do it, short term tactics to gain/retain power. It is a function of the UK’s majoritarian political system which needs structural and cultural change. See:

Sir Keir Starmer should be thought of as being first amongst equals, elected to speak on our behalf which he is well qualified to do. He is a civil servant not a film star. It is our corrosive, majoritarian political system that needs change/reform.
Keir Starmer is obviously not a very inspiring political leader but what is really happening here is that our political system no longer generates legitimate governments

Changing Prime Ministers in the manner and frequency that football clubs change managers is not a good way to behave. More thought should be given to continuity and cohesion in the political/governmental system as a whole.
FYI I don't think Streeting is actively trying to push Starmer out now.

I think a lot of MPs have decided Starmer is going to go so possible candidates are quietly trying to get a sense of support levels.
And if you want to read on why a leadership challenge is likely and who the candidates to replace Starmer are....

Farage is a GB news shareholder and is paid through a private company for his appearances on the channel.
So, here he is shit-stirring with Trump over the BBC and grifting his nasty little arse off…
There is really nothing of ours he won’t ruin to grab for power and wealth for himself.
