It is really something to me that conservatives in the Anglican Communion can recognize a Queen as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England but a female Archbishop is too far.

It's interesting that the new Roman pope is from Chicago. The pope (patriarch) of the Church of the East is also from Chicago.

Even 99% is too low.
Nearly all Christian clergy definitely believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

99% of evangelicals.
97% of Black Protestants.
92% of Catholic priests.

The only outlier: the mainline.

75% definitely believe.
15% probably believe in the bodily resurrection.

To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
- Proverbs 21:3

The Church has a calling to prioritize justice, sometimes even more than worship. The Church needs to act as a prophetic force in these days.

weird, what could explain this
Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

"American Christianity is not destined to be the movement for right-wing authoritarianism that it is today. In fact, American Christianity has a far longer history of advocating for peace and justice. It is this history that needs to be reclaimed."
