I wanted to make a shader for a random flame that looked hand drawn. So I took a gradient with some color banding, and wiggled it around with noise.

I've decided to release my planet generator toy as open source. It'll take a few weeks. I thought I'd make my own game with it, but I've got enough projects right now.

I'm using a gradient, blending 2 noise textures for warping the UV, and then 2 more noise textures for regional warp intensity. Each noise texture moves at a different speed. I could write a script to generate the gradient and noise textures randomly each time.

Caves of Qud hit 1.0 this week, and looks great in 21:9. Supporting multiple screen ratios is quite the feat for tile-based UI games.
