Imagine an economy based on metrics like wellbeing instead of GDP.

An economy that supports all life.
Are you the kind of person who:

Loves games and gaming

Thinks the current state of the economy sucks

Would change the world if it was fun and only took weekly baby steps

Then this is for you!

We ARE the economy. Let’s play a better economic game.

Q: When malignant media pedal economic growth... who benefits?

A: Fewer, richer people, who buy up all the assets and destroy our planet.

America is deffo worse. I can feel the horrific vibes of it in the air as soon as I get off the plane.
“There are so many things in Britain that have deteriorated. But nothing like what’s happened to my own country. And that’s not just Trump. When I go back to Iowa and just see what’s been lost... it would be hard for me to be positive" | 🗣️ Bill Bryson

we must refuse to debate the worth of other people.

We must agree that everyone has value at a human level, and that it’s not tied to their health, their job or their bank account.

When we start allowing ourselves to debate someone’s worth, we’ve already lost.

You are worthy, just as you are.

Well, it's definitely not the only way, but #taxwealthnotwork is paving the way for community wealth to take center stage in the near future.
The only way to protect your future is by taxing the billionaires more.

This was the obvious outcome to the climate change movement. People want something to be *for* not against

This is where community wealth and wellbeing economies are the new hope for humanity

You're solving the climate issues as a byproduct of creating and transitioning to regenerative economics.
David Wallace-Wells is the best climate journalist working today, arguably the best journalist period, and this is a fantastic summary of where things stand on climate change:
It Isn’t Just the U.S. The Whole World Has Soured on Climate Politics.

The wellbeing economy is built on ideas from the degrowth movement but there's actually quite a bit of difference between the two movements.

Our latest report calls for community centres to be protected and invested in as spaces that tie people together.

“The effects that ripple from a community centre are deep and far-reaching. For too long their value has been overlooked, their contribution pegged as a ‘nice to have’.”

There's a reason why sports teams don't chant "I believe that we will lose" before a game, a reason so obvious that I'm pretty sure it needs no explanation. Which is why it makes my head explode when people surrender in advance verbally, which they do all the time about politics.

In contrast, a democratic workplace where workers together dictate leisure time will distribute it more equitably, forming a powerful incentive to be more productive.
