“Latin is not the main reason figures like Burke support the Tridentine Mass. Instead, it’s pre-Vatican II ecclesiology that justifies their support for a ‘muscular, patriotic, white supremacist’ form of ‘Christianity,’ promoted by figures like Trump & his followers.” www.ucanews.com/news/revivin...

A number of traditionalist bishops – encouraged by young, self-appointed Catholic influencers on social media– are trying to pressure Pope Leo to undo the restrictions on the pre-Vatican II liturgy.

In the final years of Francis's papacy, Robert Prevost became one of the pontiff's closest collaborators. What clues does their bond hold about Leo's pontificate?

Francis of Assisi “gave up all his wealth” when founding the Franciscans. Bob Barron relies on an “anonymous” donor to start his.
Bishops starting their own orders, unless they come from one themselves, is an iffy proposition. They just don't know religious life, they don't get it, and often the thing they bring into existence creates more problems down the line.
