A woman in my town is being threatened and bullied for not being sad enough about Charlie Kirks death.

The same people in town who said Melissa Hortmann deserved what she got, who gleefully report people to ICE, and applaud concentration camps in the US.

God help us all.

During the USDA hearing, Vaden (Vader?) said no civil rights analysis to Warnock. Civil Rights analysis is required for ALL reorganizations and workforce plannings in USDA.

Wonder if anyone will catch on to that besides the Union reps.

Listening to the deputy secretary of ag - this guy is a condescending, patronizing and disdainful. His contempt for ALL of the senators he spoke to today is apparent, even the Republican ones he talked down to all of them and spoke to them like they were uneducated children.

I’m listening to the recording of the Ag committee hearing and the deputy sec comparing covid to forcing 2600 people to move with little notice is so typical of this admin and their bs propaganda.

We can only hope they will...but...in reality, they will not. They have shown their true colors: The Oval Office and the GOP DO NOT CARE if we die...and if we don't, then we will get over it.

Their disregard for lives is only surpassed by their cruelty for those who are not like them.

Trumps obsession with timber production, as usual, lacks any foundational knowledge in the current timber markets.

Opening those areas will not magically open more mills or companies, or provide them a place to sell the lumbered timber.

It will increase the number of timber sales that go unsold.
Trump’s decision “will open up vast swaths of largely untouched land to logging and roadbuilding, including about 30% of the land in the National Forest System — encompassing 92% of Tongass, one of the last remaining intact temperate rainforests in the world…”

Trump to strip protections from millions of acres of national forests
The Agriculture Department said it would begin the process of rolling back protections for nearly 59 million roadless acres of the National Forest System.

Any suggestions for dinner tomorrow?

ICE caused this woman to miscarry and then denied her medical care, which could have killed her.

Where are the pro-life assholes now? Why aren’t they screaming in the streets?

How much would we have loved the Army showing off if Trump hadn’t commandeered the Army’s birthday parade? They deserved to celebrate their birthday without the Narcissist in Chief making it about him.
The DC military parade looked sad

The video described by Rolling Stone sums it up:

"Though rock music blared on TV, the parade itself was eerily quiet. One video…shows tanks squeaking past nearly silent crowds, sounding like a grocery cart in need of grease."

We were warned that people would die from DOGEs chaos.

Hurricane and fire season will be even worse.

It didn’t have to be like this.

There’s a guy on Morning Joe who is talking about contracting and emergency declarations.

He’s speaking against environmental controls and checks. That we have to many regulations.

We have environmental reviews because when we didn’t we ended up with a dust bowl and later rivers on fire.

At a sports thing for one of the kids. Five or six teenage girls are sitting near me and raging over how expensive ordering from Temu and Shein has become.

They are blaming “that stupid old man with the bad makeup”.

God job Trump, you’ve angered the teenage girls. Now we will all suffer the weath

Brooke Rollins disagrees that she has to follow budget direction from Congress when responding to the Rep from Florida.

And then mentioned the “transgender” mice lie.
May 7, 2025 at 3:36 PM
Brooke Rollins is being objectively rude and insulting to Dem Reps in this hearing. Interrupting, calling them liars. She is an unprofessional and unserious person in a hugely important role for our farmers, families, and timber companies.

From the House Budget Committee meeting: Brooke Rollins responds to Moolenar that she wants farmers to be able to pay workers $2.00 an hour. $19/hour is “too much”.

ALL public lands are vital for the health of the country, whether it is a park, forest, refuge, or reserve.

States do NOT have the funding or staff to add millions of acres of land to manage.

It took 100 years to rejuvenate these lands from cut over dust bowls, do we have that long this time?
Our cousins at the National Park Service need help.

The Regime won’t dare touch popular parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite or Great Smoky Mountains.

But it’s betting no one cares about myriad small parks, historical sites & support staff that make our parks the envy of the world.

They bet wrong.
New info from NPS internal communications!

‼️🌲 Park staff are in danger. We need YOU to tell the Department of the Interior to stop staff cuts. 📞

🧑‍💻 Internal communications say that up to 1500 people—mostly behind-the-scenes staff—will be fired, likely in the next two weeks.
May 3, 2025 at 3:13 PM
The trick with this budget is it doesn’t show the cuts that zero out programs and agencies, so unless you know a specific agency or programs budget numbers it’s not immediately apparent how bad this will be for agencies.

Ag. Sec. Brooke Rollins and her crack team of investigators will get right on it.

They aren’t critical. There’s nothing real there. Not even kernels of truth. They grasp at the subjectivity of the human experience and manufacture crises to enable real ones.

Republicans are treating this as no big deal to normalize their complete disregard for national security and blatant espionage and collusion with Russia against the US.

Congress allowed him to usurp their powers of law and purse. Now he is using an EO to get around Congress to declare martial law and enable militias to police american citizens.

And I’m not sure that the military will say no. I think too many will enthusiastically shoot fellow Americans.
New executive order dropped. It's called "STRENGTHENING AND UNLEASHING AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PURSUE CRIMINALS AND PROTECT INNOCENT CITIZENS." The section pictured here is particularly concerning. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...
