This is what's up. Democrats are following public opinion. But that well has been poisoned by Trump's cult-like following.
I think my biggest problem with the "debate" over whether Democrats should abandon trans people is how divorced from reality it is.

Much agreed...Dems have some problems with messaging. They need to learn how to go viral and get in everyone's face whether they like it or not.
I’m very disappointed in who we’re not hearing from. Sure, there’s SM posts/press releases now n then, a random interview, but there should be press conferences every day by vocal leaders, the Obamas, Kamala, Biden, Pete, the Clintons, even Cheney or other Rs that still have their souls.
