Hydrogen advocates generally are overly anxious about the lifestyle changes of driving an EV. Hydrogen solves charge times and not much else. Which doesn't matter nearly as much as ICE-drivers think it does. You plug it in at night like your phone and it's got plenty of juice for the day ahead.

Hydrogen isn't a fuel. It is a storage system for excess energy. Aka a battery. And a less efficient one than modern batteries (which are still improving).
H is better in terms of energy density, but far worse in efficiency.

Then first we need miracle hydrogen, or at least an abundance of green energy, because making hydrogen now is an energy intense process, and that energy means carbon, which means higher net emissions. Nothing solved.

You need to separate Hydrogen from water via electrolysis to make green ammonia. Why even make the ammonia at that point, the electrolysis is the hard part.

Speaking of grid, that's another point. Hydrogen has to be transported too. Pipelines or tanker trucks. We already have that for electricity, and it works damn well.
But, H could also be good as part of the grid, as a battery for high demand. Not as good as pumped storage but probably easier.

Hosting in-house isn't free. It takes staff to maintain. Electricity. Cooling. Periodic upgrades. Those computers won't poof into existence. And cloud services are also used for bursty jobs, like running 100s of models off the data simultaneously. That's not usually efficient to run in-house.
