Documentary producer/director probably following you because you talk about football - but occasionally talking about #visualinvestigations and #documentaries.

As an introduction I'm going to post a few of my films...

Starting with the first #documentary I made about #protest and #CivilLiberties. From there it's a rapid ride through #Justice, #TaxAvoidance, #PoliceAccountability, #Prostitution, #footballfans and #Apartheid in the #OPT.

Buckle up. 📺🍿

I got permission to share this, and I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Onion got this letter from one of our subscribers in Alaska. She works with dementia patients and decided to leave a copy in the car for each one.

This email made my year. Read it and you'll see what I mean. People are good.

🚨 Exclusive 🚨
Ian Rush has put his name to a 90-minute, score-settling, AI musical in the style of Hamilton about his legal battle against a Surrey scaffolding company and a small Wigan law firm, in so doing attacking, among others, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher.

This is an excellent read, no one does football as giant life metaphor quite like @jonathanliew.bsky.social

I'm so proud to share the latest film in our five-year journey with @amnesty.org's Be There programme. Since 2020, we at @fatratfilms.bsky.social have produced an annual Highlights & Impact film to showcase this vital work

Be There Highlights & Impact 2024
Amnesty International’s annual video explainer on our crisis response investigations and refugee research across many global contexts. Be There is a 7-year programme (2019-2025) which focuses on supporting people affected by crisis and conflict, bringing together Amnesty International’s Crisis Response and Refugee & Migrant Rights work. In 2024 the team has led or supported projects spanning across 74 countries, including continuing research and advocacy on the ongoing conflicts in IOPT and Sudan. On-the-ground investigations have included research from the Pacific Islands to Pakistan, to Namibia to Haiti. Longer term work on the impact of conflict on children and older persons has continued, including groundbreaking reports in Northeast Syria and Northeast Nigeria, and the launch of the Age Loud! campaign. The year also included the celebration of over 1 million people supported through Community Sponsorship schemes worldwide. The video shows how through resistance and resilience, partnerships and participation, and despite the increasingly difficult times we live in, together we can achieve significant human rights impact.

Because leaving twitter means losing my painstakingly crafted list of football writers, I've used your excellent starter pack to create a new list for Bluesky- (my kingdom for a button that does this automatically). bsky.app/profile/did:...
Thanks!
