Well, that was unintentional, but I'm not mad about it. 💜💙

I was recalling fondly how the internet used to scream when you turned it on and that might have been a warning.

🍂 Just in time for September. I have a feeling this one's going to be knit or crocheted...and it's all going to fit on this bobbin, mark my words. #handspun #fiberarts

I've posted here (and IG, and tumblr) only a handful of times since May. I've been making! All the time! Maybe I'll put together a catch-up post to show what I've been up to this summer. Until then, enjoy the most autumn of bobbins. 🍂

Spending some quality time with my pin loom today. It's a slow craft, but a nice focus activity. I bought this for bias weaving, but I've really fallen in love with three-layer weaving as well!

A Noro Rikka warp 😱 in a reed that's too dense for it 😱 (oh my)! The past few days have been about experiments and breaking rules. The rules are often there for very good reasons, but sometimes you have to find out for yourself and decide if they're worth breaking from time to time.

Grandma hobbies???

Anyway, this yarn color is called If I Wanted Exposure, I'd Get My Tits Out. The other one is called Marine Diesel. Also, I know some sick-ass grandmas. Get your head right.

I worry for people who increasingly believe we should only be ourselves behind the closed doors of our homes.

This yarn by @kralalien.bsky.social is so much fun. I can't wait to see how it turns out. 💜🧡🩷✨

When you’re in the middle of change, it feels like you don’t know where you’re going.

Job hunting has always been soul crushing, but this time I'm taking it on as more of a soul searching activity. It still feels like shouting into the void, but now I'm holding out for the right shout back. 🌿

Well this is just delightful! 🌻🌷🪻
📚 Have snuck away down to the garden shed to craftily play at paper patchwork arrangements with hexagons punched from illustrated vintage gardening books, found in charity shops & brought home to the tiny terrace as colourful treasures for to make everything rather floral...

I'm not quite done sharing these lovely Lincoln locks I picked up during a trip to Kentucky last year. The shop intended them for felting, but look! 🥹

It's been raining in Las Vegas for the better part of two days, and the cozy vibes are immaculate. I know it won't last, but I'm enjoying it while it's here and setting up my next scarf on the loom. 😌

On Monday, I took my trusty (and lightweight) Woolmakers Bliss out to the park for a #spinning date! Finished these singles that I'd been meaning to get around to, listened to the birds, and chatted with some kind folks who stopped for questions/compliments. 10/10 experience really.

Who says you can't use big, squishy yarns on a floor loom? I have a 6-dent reed. Watch me. 👀

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

It probably doesn't need to be said, but if you follow me from a firstnamebunchanumbers account, it's an immediate block. I don't care to suss out whether you're a bot or not, so make better choices.

the greatest crime the world has ever committed is removing the ability to be bored. we are Notified, we are Pinged, we are Buzzed, but we may not contemplate quietly in that infinite plane of nothing. only when you can concentrate on nothing can you draw from the well of the infinite
