Marketing bod, with a love of tech, small business and running silly distances for 'fun'. Will almost certainly ramble more about #pafc and football though...
Whilst I missed us finally getting a victory, against @steve-cooper.bsky.social's WBA no less, travelling to see Barcelona play was pretty special 😍

Pretty happy with how January has gone as I prepare for my second marathon in October.

No specific marathon training just yet, just trying to build some consistency and shift some timber. Would welcome some lighter mornings and evenings for the runs now though!

After a pretty toxic few days, I just hope the team delivers some modicum of a performance for those loyal souls who have made this journey.

We don't necessarily need to win, but turn up, play for the shirt and show some respect to those that have traveled.

Morgan Whittaker has been one of my favourite players and is one of the best to have worn the shirt, but not showing up when selected to play? Time to go. You don't show that disrespect to the club. Very sad to see things end this way. It'll certainly tarnish his memory.

SH has made mistakes as owner but show me one that hasn't.

There isn't a benevolent billionaire out there waiting in the wings to buy the club. Even if there was, fans wouldn't agree with every decision.

It's been a disappointing season, but let's not throw baby out with the bath water.

Baffled by the Hallett Out lot. What happens in that reality?

He stops investing in an asset he's selling so no more transfers?

He sells MW and BM to mitigate his losses?

The club regresses whilst a new owner is found? How long does that take? And negotiations?

Crazy idea that lads 😅

Ultimately one individual error and a rash decision has cost us the goal tonight. Those small margins happen all the time in sport, especially the closer you get to the top.

Unfortunately we've had too many of them already this season and I fear the margin for error now is incredibly small.

#pafc
Many of the problems under Rooney still on show tonight but we'd be naive to expect it all fixed in one training session.

I think the more direct approach will suit this team given we lack real quality to control the game against most teams.

We need CMs and CBs desperately though.

I love MW but this sadly makes sense for everyone...

Burnley get a great player.

We cash in on a £1m investment of which the returns could plummet if we were to be relegated (and we're favourites to do so).

MW ensures he plays in the Championship at the very least, but potentially the PL.

Just finalised a trip to Barcelona to watch Barca play Alaves in February.

Disappointingly, they're not playing at Camp Nou this season but if it's anything like my trip to watch FC Koln v Dortmund this time last year it'll be class.

In the big moments, the big players deliver.

MW has been unfairly criticised this season, with groans for anything other than perfection, but we simply haven't got the ball to him enough in dangerous areas of the field. He naturally won't score with every touch either!

I'm sold.

Clearly a very intelligent man that is a complete contrast from what we've had before. He's considered, articulate and humble, but also demands a lot from his players.

Give this a watch Argyle fans.

I'm quite excited by the prospect of Muslic. It's certainly a huge risk and I understand why people would prefer Schuey.

However, hiring a foreign manager for the first time is exciting, especially given our recent influx of foreign players. Let's hope it works!

If you're left in any doubt as to why the Foulston Park development at Brickfields is important read this thread about Adam Randell.

I personally believe it's an important piece of the puzzle that over time moves Argyle from the sometimes Championship club that we are to a regular one.

The last time @PAFCAcademy reached Round 5 of the FA Youth Cup (or Round 4, actually) was 2017/18. You'd recognise many names of that team, but I want to tell you the story of a player who played only 11 minutes of that run: Adam Randell #pafc

Great chance for Argyle U18s to make the 5th round Wednesday evening, cheap tickets too, £5. Would go if I lived in Plymouth, will watch online instead. Having a great season despite so many absentees. Last time the academy played at HP, they smashed Exeter 7-0 #pafc

One of the best to have ever worn the shirt 😍

I'd love to see him make 100 more, but struggle to see him accepting of League One football.

When you get shithoused by bottom of the league, who have been time wasting since the 1st minute only for the ref to blow for full time when you have the ball in our box. Good point for us but I imagine there's a few frustrated Stokies 🤣🤣🤣

Happy with the clean sheet.

The irony really is lost on those that supposedly don't want foreign interference in British politics, yet will support a South African born, American citizen, whipping up foreign politicians against the British...

This is a big statement from the club. He's playing well this season and in that short video from Elfsborg he seems like a popular lad, that his team mates and coaches are genuinely happy for.

And to think SH gets criticism for "not investing" despite another record transfer fee.

Welcome to Argyle, Michael Baidoo! 🇬🇭

The Ghanaian international signs until 2028, for a club-record fee.

Disappointed to lose who I believe has been our best player this season. Ultimately though turning a free transfer into 7 figures when he reportedly had little time left on his contract is good business.

Also worth saying, given it's a buy out clause, he may never have joined without one.

#pafc
Lewis Gibson has left Argyle, to sign for Preston North End.

The defender moves for a significant transfer fee that meets a pre-existing clause in his contract.

This team can and will score goals but we can't keep conceding at this current rate and expect to stay up.

Central midfield and the defence has to be prioritised in the window. We've got to be harder to score against if we're to stand any chance of survival.

On a wider point, part of me is gutted it hasn't worked out for Rooney. Given my age, he's one of my favourite ever players, and one the greatest English players of all time. It would have been a fairy tale to see him succeed at Home Park but it just wasn't to be.

#pafc
One thing I would like to point out. Even towards the end, when I had to ask tough questions of Wayne Rooney, he understood the situation and answered them without any hint of resentment. I totally respect him for that and wish him all the best for the future. #pafc

Would love to see us go for Robins given his experience. It would be a tough ask but there's a solid foundation on which he can build.

That being said I suspect the club have already been in talks with Schuey. I'd be happy with that. Talented coach and never understood the resentment.

Been playing Baldur's Gate 3 for a lot of the Christmas break and whilst it's been great (I'm still on Act 1) waiting for flying creatures to use ladders is a minor inconvenience that is driving me up the wall 🤣
