Not sure if anyone has said yet, but if not, pretty sure Campbell is now our youngest ever goalscorer (waiting on GoS to confirm, unless someone else already has) #pafc

Seen a small selection of Fox quotes from today. Fair to say that we'd have never signed Katic with that attitude, to pick the first name to spring to mind. And the one about number nines? Nonsense

Per Lancashire Telegraph, P'boro allegedly paid "around £1million with 3/400K in add-ons" for Harry Leonard. Rovers Xtra claims Argyle made a "bigger last-minute offer". If true, we've sat on £1.5m+ (of the millions in unbudgeted income from 2025) that's been unavailable until the final hours #pafc

If you're charting a political spectrum of Argyle fans, it goes from reactionaries on Twitter on one side to the green-tints on PASOTI on the other. It says a lot that the "centrists" I know are some form of angry too, that speaks to how badly this window was managed
September 1, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Well, at least that fucking window is over. Started with so much hope and optimism. Ends with us expecting a raft of excuses at the fans' forum. My word, how I've soured in that time. Started it willing to defend AP, but now it's just clearly time to go. What's the point?

Seeing Dewsnip revisionism. Just because we failed to upgrade (I expect many would argue we downgraded), does not absolve our old DoF of a series of absolute clangers that almost got us relegated, then effectively did relegate us. It's akin to defending Foster when Rooney failed.

Four hours to go, to make signings that should have been in at least four weeks back
September 1, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Such a minor thing, but I don't like Argyle's new website design 😂 the UX is much worse imo, makes navigating around the site worse. Bunch of old Argyle TV seasons gone (everything pre 2020/21 I think), match centre miles worse (no links related video content etc)

Given how the window has gone, I have no expectations for today. It's a safe place to be, expecting nothing, after this past summer. Seemingly too many development players, too much indecision, and a fourth straight window of transfer fee profits

Small thing about the goal, but as Ibrahim loses the duel, Roberts steps forward to press the ball, opening a gap between midfield and defence that three Swansea players attack. Our midfield two is leaving that gap far too often so far this season #pafc

However the shootout goes, brilliant performance given the team we put out. Toss up between Sorinola and Wiredu for MOTM, Edwards and Ibrahim also great. Confidence from beating Blackpool or just more time in training with TC and the team? Promising signs either way #pafc

Seb Cambell (CM) and Joe Mwaro (FB) both absent for the u18s today. The pair of first year apprentices, both very highly thought of, are likely to have travelled with the senior squad to Swansea. They were both on the bench v QPR, while Campbell was part of the travelling squad v Lincoln #pafc

Finn signing is superb news, congrats to Tegan and the club for getting it over the line! Very good few days for the club after a very, very frustrating few weeks
August 25, 2025 at 7:39 PM
I just give up. I don't know which out of Parkinson, Fox, or Randle are most to blame, but quite frankly we're at a stage when heads should roll. Staggering incompetence this transfer window. Embarrassing. Could they have managed it worse if they'd tried?

After going out in the first round 9/10 seasons from 2008-2017, Argyle have now won seven of the past eight first-round ties in the League Cup, a 2-0 loss to Peterborough in 2022/23 season being the exception #pafc
August 12, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Banana skin slipped on but we managed to avoid landing on our arse. Stats show exactly how poor that QPR u21 side was relative to a professional side, highlighting yet again how much work the defence needs. Time to make some (quality) signings! #pafc
August 12, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Given how much football has changed since the days when the manager was *the* all-powerful figure, and given most teams now have a DoF-type role responsible for football, I'm surprised they aren't semi-regular attendees at press-conferences/have their own regular presser

If I could walk into the offices at HP, I'd print the words "Time is a currency, too" and plaster it all over the recruitment offices. A lesson that badly needs learning. Like last year, taking our time to try and save money looks likely to end up costing more

Sigh
August 9, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Long-term, I want a back four but, given the available players right now (and probably most of the season), I think a back three is rapidly becoming the likely solution (as many have pointed out already)
August 9, 2025 at 8:36 AM
As if another week has passed without a signing... Something about laughing instead of crying
August 8, 2025 at 10:03 PM
This summer has been the perfect one to move house because it's provided a brilliant distraction from a transfer window which (knowing me) would otherwise have driven me completely and utterly mad with frustration.
August 7, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Add all the caveats you like, but I think that game just showed us what we knew already: we need to spend the money we have bringing in some quality across the pitch. Let's hope we see things speed up next week
July 11, 2025 at 5:41 PM
First PSF we've seen, but we're seeing a variation of this so far. For Watford, TC had Louza drop into CB, FBs get high and wide. With Argyle, Wiredu is dropping in from CM to split the CBs, but rather than getting high and wide the FBs are inverting into CM #pafc
Actually, I'll caveat Watford, because though they get their full-backs into nice high and wide positions, pretty much everything else went through the middle. A lot of it paid off, but Argyle had some moments when Watford were feeling especially daring. Missed opportunity.
