I think that’s super fascinating, I’ve always wondered if having an inner monologue would slow your thinking down. Now I’m picturing a very fast-talking narrator, but that’s probably not it. 😂

I’m curious, does the thought take as long as it would to say it out loud, or is it faster?

I don’t have an inner monologue, and for me it’s not peaceful at all. My brain doesn’t bother putting thoughts into words let alone form sentences before throwing them at me. If I have to use words I always need a few minutes to pick through the chaos before I can be even somewhat coherent.
