Last month, I passed 1 year of ownership with my F-150 Lightning and wanted to share some numbers for the year:
Gasoline costs: ⬇️ $2,862
Fast charging: ⬆️ $321
Electric bill: ⬆️ $975
Natural gas: ⬇️ $219
Total costs:⬇️$1,749
(I also replaced my gas hot water heater with a heat pump hot water heater).

Since 2020, I’ve:
1). Switched to an electric induction stove.
2). Switched to a 50g heat pump hot water heater.
3). Converted 2/3 HVACs to heat pumps.
4). Bought an EV (Nov ‘24).
Electric bill has gone up ~$350/year, which is about what I’d pay in natural gas for 2 winter months here in NC.
