It needs to be said over and over because it’s really important: if you read an indie novel/comic, play an indie game/visual novel, etc. and you enjoyed it, one of the best ways to help the creator is to tell people about it! Leave reviews, tell your friends. Every little bit helps us so much!

Normalize media and characters that make you uncomfortable! Writing about bad things that happen or genuinely evil characters doesn’t mean that you endorse those things. Media isn’t meant to be so “purified”. It’s meant to make a point! Of course, just handle sensitive topics with sensitivity.

Very popular opinion but I’m so glad that indie productions are getting lots of traction now! It feels like a breath of fresh air in the creative world. The internet is truly a wonderful place if you’re surrounded by the right people. Bluesky feels like a new dawn for creators.
