Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.

So many people don't actually listen to the lyrics of artists they listen to. Reminds of the people getting in a twist about Roger Waters "getting" political a decade or so ago. Did you not listen to the Wall?

Once again AI manages to get it wrong. Only 5 of the 15 books on the list actually exist. Though most sound relatively interesting at least.
How an AI-generated summer reading list got published in major newspapers
Newspapers around the country, including the Chicago Sun-Times and at least one edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer, published a syndicated book list featuring made-up books by famous authors.

The Alaskan legislature overwhelmingly asks for Denali to stay Denali. 19-0 in the state Senate and 31-8 in the House. Republicans control both.

Definitely not working they way they'd hoped.
This Reddit thread about the so-called “buy out” offer from Trump is hitting me in the feels.

More of the expected incompetence by the Trump administration. Created 2 international incidents this week: couldn't be bothered to see how things were done and didn't think that flying military aircraft to a foreign country would be seen as aggressive and bad.

And he couldn't spell Colombia.

Me: wow I'm writing good stuff in this novel tonight, I think I'll just keep on trucking

My brain: dude it's 11pm and we're old, wrap it up

Me: come on I used to do all nighters all the time

Brain: you used to do handsprings too, until that last time

Knees: yeah fuck you for that, by the way

I see some folks doubling down on "utterances in the open mean anyone can respond whether they are the intended audience or not," and I suppose if you really want to be that guy you can, and I also suspect you may wonder why you are blocked a lot on social media and told to go away out in the world.

Whose a good boy? 🐕
This is Theo. He's always looking out for his older sister Mia. Sometimes that means simply making sure she gets enough pets at day care. 13/10 for both
