The RICHEST assholes on the planet can't even properly pay workers (and choose poorer countries on purpose) for their fucking plagiarism softwares.
This is so fucked up, I just can't process this. So upsetting.
When will someone STOP this shit??
Lesley Stahl reports on the growing market of “humans in the loop” — workers around the world who help train AI for big American tech companies. They say they face poor working conditions, low pay, and undertreated psychological trauma. Sunday on 60 ⏱️

I had the immense pleasure of creating the cover art for Alcest's 7th album, "Les Chants de l'Aurore". Neige asked me to reinterpret Sydney Long's beautiful painting "The Spirit of the Plains".

I started making comics in 2014 when I was 40yrs old. A comics critic, I was inspired by the zines and work I saw at SPX 2013. I thought, why shouldn't I make the things I love. This will be an ongoing thread collecting links to my work, free-to-read. Some of it is all me, some is by collaboration.

There was a chase sequence in FULL TILT that was 24 consecutive pages long, 12 double page spreads that joined together to form one big spread. Sadly I couldn’t afford to make a poster of it all together.

But here's the thing: every other thing you see in a comic page, that you love, was made under the same conditions.

its a wonder we manage to make an issue every month: Editors, writer, artist, inker, colorist, letterer, designer. all working against time

its just amazing

And today's editors do their very best to give as much time as needed, but there's so many things working against that!

Lazy people simply can't do 20+ pages of comic every month

if you see rushed inks or colors, it's not laziness
if you notice a sketchup model, it's not laziness
if you see anything that could be better with more time, it's not laziness

is just that... lack of time

“If Hollywood doesn’t take risky bets on artists and their most exciting projects, it settles for a future of ever-diminishing returns on yesterday’s ideas.”
Yep.
Ten years after its debut, Over the Garden Wall has cemented itself as a modern-day classic. One key reason? Its gorgeous visual style.

We explore how the crew and art director Nick Cross crafted the unique look of this great show: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/the-look-o...

BLOW AWAY

A wildlife videographer stationed in the Arctic is documenting birds and... may've witnessed a murder. A paranoid neo-noir about our fascination with lives and dramas of complete strangers.
