Such a rapid percentage cut is essentially a forced budget reduction. It's unlikely they assessed any needs in that short time. Personally, I'd prefer to sever all business ties with Elon’s companies and face the consequences. It has to be better than dealing with him.

Democratic politicians seem indifferent, acting like traitors as they let this happen. Across the board, politicians appear to be saying, "Give me my money, Corporate America."

In just one week, our president has accomplished far more than someone else did in four years, who often seemed lost on stage and stumbled over his words during speeches.
we have a president with a tenuous grip on small legislative majorities who is out of the gate with a flurry of dramatically unpopular orders and who has just demonstrated his weakness on the international stage. if i were an elected member of his domestic opposition, i might try to draw real blood.

In hospital waiting rooms, people seem glued to their phones because they're anxious not to miss their names being called. However, they're so used to constant stimulation that silence feels unbearable, almost like a clinical addiction to TikTok.
Why in all reasonableness don't people use earphones in public spaces when amusing themselves on their various technological annoyances, particularly waiting rooms?
