IF you're in Budapest... IF you are and go to the Hungarian National Gallery (you might), see if they have this on display. It's called the Dragon Slayer, by Sandor Molnar. It's huge.

Did Elon have no idea where the lies on X come from? A lot of persuasion on US issues is emanating from outside the US.

Leroy, boy, is that you?
I thought your post hanging days were through
Sunken eyes and full of sighs
Tell no lies, you get wise
I tell you now, we're gonna pull you through
There's only one thing left that we can do
We gotta get you a woman
It’s like nothing else to make you feel sure you’re alive

This collection of New Yorker pieces by @jelaniya.bsky.social is quite the time capsule; I’m barely into it (and won’t read it straight through — I wouldn’t do that with any collection like this) but I can already tell it’s going to be worthwhile.

I think I saw this kind of panel mural in a Nemo… but I doubt it’s done often.

I'm a pour-over guy. I'm very happy with my results, and can think fast to overcome hurdles like an interruption. A machine that has a bloom cycle? This paragraph from a review doesn't entice me.

Balboa Park, San Diego, 1992. Setting aside all the family shots, this is my favorite shot by my Dad from all the negatives passed on to me. #photography

Teffa, the sweetest runt tuxedo... loving and so adept at keeping her claws withdrawn during play. A curious one, fascinated by all other animals (the guinea pigs probably feared her, but she only watched in fascination). Gone about ten years.

There are more Republicans up in 2026 than Democrats. There should be billboards/advertising against every one them saying "____ ______ not only wanted insurance premiums to explode but also wanted X-thousand in [Insert State] to starve."

A really great exhibit of #photography by Sir Don McCullin at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery in NYC closed today, and I wish I'd gone sooner so that I could have cajoled everyone I know into going. In an accompanying film, McCullin says he doesn't think of himself as an artist but a photographer. Yet
