Welcome to my book of philosophy, "Maybe Don't;" it has one doctrine, where you fucking don't
We're not really doing this with Bond, right? Bond is like hamsters. The old one does too much cocaine and then your parents get you a new one that looks more or less the same and you can tell deep down they're different but nobody wants to make a scene about it.

if speaking out and being loud about TGA and its gross mishandling of the Future Class makes me less employable, that says more about our industry and the people in positions of power than it does me. i have a platform, i'm privileged that i feel safe to speak up. think about folks who might not.

So I sank $25, a reasonable sum to sate my curiosity, into one of the Guild Wars expansions that opens up a bunch of new weapons for every class after you do some story missions, and in the process I was reminded just how MESSY that game's combat can feel, to me.

I'm on the other side of the see-saw from @rcmacleod.bsky.social but on a very gentle slope: "Pluribus" sounds like a super neat and fascinating concept that could make for great television AND I could not have less interest in watching that show, haha

I'm not totally on-board with it yet, but I'm here to see where it's going

It's extremely weird to google the old "do i no longer give you the boner" teen titans joke and the top results are all very serious erectile dysfunction info

A set of surgical air strikes could transform gaming too, but so what? Negative change is "transformation" too.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has defended AI following Eurogamer's 2/5 Arc Raiders review, which criticised the game's use use of AI voice generation. "AI dialog generation + human personality and tuning could totally transform gaming," Sweeney said.

I hadn’t heard about the Davis case ruling yesterday. What a nice unexpected present for me!

As today’s over: thanks for all the birthday well wishes. As far as mile markers on the road to the grave go, it was pretty okay!

Feels likely. I logged in, knew nothing about what was going on, and realized all the cool new shit is either locked behind expansions I don't have, and/or requires big piles of skill points to unlock I don't feel like farming.
Alright. I downloaded PSO 2, played it a bit for nostalgia's sake, realized I had 0 interest in actually doing it, uninstalled it in less than a day.

Am now reinstalling Guild Wars 2, and I expect a similar loop.

It is good to discover that things you've been thinking are probably true and good to consider but it's not always fun when the reason WHY is because you did the opposite and are reaping the consequences, haha

Okay I'm splintering off a friend's thread about a TV show that people in the replies are saying "I know it's bad/slop/whatever but I like it" and like... I get why we say this stuff, but I kinda wish we didn't have to.

If you really enjoy it, is it actually "bad"? Or is it something else?

Me: "fuck it I'm reinstalling PSO2" [does so from Steam, where I felt sure I'd linked accounts before]
Steam: this download will be like... an hour give or take?
[time passes]
Me: "alright let's fire up PSO2"
PSO2: "okay but if you wanna play classic not 'new genesis' that's another hour-ish"
Me: 😶
