I feel like if people were collecting games 10 years ago they probably arent today. I mourn for the newbies who can't buy a Silent Hill without breaking the bank and honestly a lot of why I emulate or run roms on real hardware is the insanity of post-covid game prices.

I feel as if part of why arena shooters dropped off in popularity in more recent times is that playing on a pad is basically infeasible without motion controls. With the speed games like quake function at you just can't look around quickly and accurately enough on stick to compete.
