My son has a genetic condition that means he MUST have continuous health insurance because of the risk of a bad flareup. He had Medicaid this spring while he diligently searched for a job (& is now working). ANYONE might need it at any time!

"Alligator Alcatraz" is wrong and media should not use it. It's propaganda. Alcatraz held people convicted of crimes, particularly violent crimes.
The Florida camp holds people *not* convicted of any crime. If they had been, they'd be in prison elsewhere.

People are already dying around the world from the loss of US aid for medicines. Immigrants are dying in ICE facilities. And now the GOP brings it to little kids, families, mothers, our elders. God damn all Republicans to hell. There are no good ones left.
My immediate thoughts on the most monstrous, immoral piece of legislation I’ve ever voted on in the Senate.
