Reader. Writer. Aspiring author. Lover of all things horror(books and movies in particular). Firmly on the political left. Crypto enthusiast.
The southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendix was outstanding. I have small grievances and i could have used a little more horror personally, but thats just my taste. Overall this is definitely worth a read.

Finished The Twisted Ones by T. Kingfisher. It was ok. I didn’t really get the horror. The story felt underbaked. I like the author, the characters are good and there’s a good writing style. This just didn’t hit for me.

Finished The Troop by Nick Cutter last week. I have a hard time getting into stories centered around kids, but this really picked up in the 2nd half and I loved the ending. Recommend.

Tonight I read this. It’s both terrifying and hopeful. I would encourage you to research any German terms you’re unfamiliar with as you’re reading to fully digest the context of the chapter. 100/10. A must read. I might suggest to do so with some level of urgency.

A week ago I was being told to apologize for saying Trump would be worse for Gaza because he faked a temporary pause/pretend ceasefire to coincide with his inauguration.

Now he’s just openly endorsing/encouraging ethnic cleansing.
On Air Force One from Las Vegas to Miami, President Trump says Palestinians in Gaza should be relocated.

“I’d like Egypt to take people. I’d like Jordan to take people,” he tells reporters.”We just clean out that whole thing.”

Religion teaches faith. Faith in false facts. Faith in a god there’s no proof of. Faith in authority. Trust your leader, not your eyes. Religion is the root cause of our inability to think critically.

Have writing group tonight. Hoping it’ll break me out of my small slump.

And I’ll be breaking the ice on The Troop by Nick Cutter. My first foray into his work.

Finished Finder Keepers yesterday. I liked it. But it felt light in Bill/Holly to me. Still enjoyed it. Looking forward to End of Watch, but have a few other tittles to get through first. (I’ve never read Frankenstein!!)
