During breakfast today my young kiddo casually mentioned a recent lockdown drill like it was a completely normal thing and then practiced “being quiet” so she’d be ready in case there’s a “bad guy with a gun at school.”

What’s with all these supposedly green/healthy companies screaming “Your workout clothes are poisoning you with PFAS!” but then only offering smaller sizes?
Are they saying only thin women care about their health and exercise?

I walk past this house twice a day, 5 days a week, and think “I wish that would go on the market! I’d buy it.” I’ve thought that twice a day for 3 years.

I’ve reached that point in my parenting journey where I can walk into my favorite store on my birthday — hellbent on treating my depression with retail therapy — and only walk out with a single small item… for my kiddo.

La vida me dio un leve disgusto esta mañana cuando abrí el estuche de mi guitarra y me encontré con una cuerda rota. A pesar de contar con una cuerda menos, surgió esta breve tonada: imperfecta pero risueña. Quizás se convierta en canción más adelante. Quizás permanezca como una idea bruta.
