Yesterday before they’d see my kiddo for a wellness exam, for the first time ever we were forced to sign a paper that was very confusing and convoluted but seemed to say if we discuss anything in that visit other than general wellness, we’d have to pay for a second visit.

A down payment used to equate to a month’s salary. Now it’s 1-2 years. A mortgage used to be 2 years worth of salary. Now it’s more than 4. Housing prices up more than 200% but salaries only up 50% from 1999 to today.

It’s hard to not think about this and feel depressed. To not read all the data on how housing prices and income today compare to when I was a kid — and feel angry.

We’ve always met by phone despite living in the same town, so I can confirm at the very least that she works well as a telehealth therapist. She offers a wide variety of approaches, and most calls include talk therapy and mindful breathing at the very least.

I have a wonderful grief therapist and would be happy to share her information. Only caveat being she’s in IL, so I’m not sure if that means she can’t provide care to someone in IN? I can inquire if you’re interested.

So long as the stories aren’t something you’ve heard before, there’s a chance for provide new insight too. Genuinely curious though if it ever feels like all the stories have already been told?
