So the US wants all manufacturing to be brought back ‘home’ just as robotics and AI mean that a huge amount of the labour involved isn’t actually needed in the coming years….so who really wins in this scenario? #robotics #AI

I know I’m being cheap but I’m also sad that the Guardian newspaper is now subscription only. A lot of people really NEED to read it but now hardly ever will

People are leaving Twitter because it’s not fun anymore and no one is obligated to be on a platform they don’t enjoy.

It’s not rocket science.

Quarter of England's farmland owned by just 2,500 toffs and fatcats
There are more than 100,000 farm holdings in England, covering 22 million acres in total. But the Defra data show just 2,568 very large farms own or manage 5.6 million acres

Has anyone else noticed a sudden jump in the number of bot accounts with bizarre profiles trying to connect in the last day? I wonder who would try to be overwhelming the system and why…?

As much as I disagree with Musk, I do believe he’s right about this comment - the future of defence is unmanned, AI controlled (scarily) and primarily lots of cheap expendable drones.

I suspect it’s just a matter of time before Musk sends his bot army over here to BS to cause disruption (shortly after his attempt to undermine British democracy). How to counter this when it occurs?

No doubt this has come up before but you know in the old/bad place, we would ‘tweet’. What do we do here? ‘Float ideas’ or ‘launch’ or ‘condense’ them? If we are browsing, can we say ‘our head is in the clouds’? If something trends, can we say it has high pressure, gusty?
