Just some dude.
Things I thought would be hard, but turned out to be easy: Random dungeon layout.

Being rather happy with my encounter maps, now I'm working on dungeon maps. Introducing: New tiles!

I'm sure 2800 years ago when Homer was reciting the Iliad, he was thinking about how people would think on Achilles and his heel whilst saucing their chicken wings.

Every year, I root for Navy in the Army Navy game. I'm always glad when they win, but this year - we can all agree they played terribly, right?

Today I had a small #IndieGameDev win - a bug that was small, annoying, and rather subtle was fixed in a bit over an hour instead of the days I had anticipated!

It has taken me weeks to get encounter maps mirroring the world the way I wanted. I'm finally mostly happy with the result. #indiedev

What's the difference between a 4 wisdom score and a 19 wisdom score? Visibility! I have an actual real life game mechanic!

If it's stupid but it works, is it stupid?

It's taken all day, but finally. Finally. I have a player indicator (placeholder yellow diamond) that actually syncs up with the map and gives the right result when it moves to a new hex.

I think I'm actually about done with the mapmaking portion of this? At least for the world map. I feel happy with it?

My little project here continues on. I'm fairly satisfied with world map generation and labelling. Just a few more tweaks, I think, before moving onto game elements. #indiedev

It's not a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake. That pink-haired girl lied to me. #nailedit

Even my "neighbors" for hexagons are gerrymandered. #indiedev

Right now, Halloween candy is more expensive than ammunition - $10 for a bag of 30 pieces or 25¢ a round for .45 ACP.

That feels not right?

Did a lot of work on how the logic changes, and there's definitely something here. #IndieDev

Lots more work on this little game idea. Added some colors, added some tile types. #IndieDev

How my little #IndieGame project has started.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to make a game. What I wanted to do was always way outside of my skills, but now I think I have an idea I can actually do? I guess #indiegamedev ?

You ever make something so bad that you just threw it out? Me neither, because I'm not rich. But I certainly just made the worst burger I ever made.

This sums up AI perfectly.
This is what the entire US economy is becoming. Computers digging holes for other computers to fill in hopes of creating clicks that generate ad revenue for ads that no one watches. Tech libertarians love to complain about government make-work but this is all they can produce at the end of the day.

A pack of chicken breasts cost $2.50/lb. at the grocery store, and to keep the price relatively the same as it used to be, now they just put one less in there.

Yet another example of shrinkflation.

Am I the only one that has gotten more moral in video games as I've aged?

In the Elder Scrolls games, for example, you had to nail stuff down around me before. Now? I'm thinking, "He didn't know he was buying stolen property, I guess I should just pay him to buy it back..."

I love when a recipe tells me to preheat the oven first. It assumes a certain adroitness in the kitchen that I absolutely lack.

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.
