It’s 1:50 am BST, so May has begun - my favourite month of the year! For the past few years, @lisaknappmusic.bsky.social’s glorious album has accompanied me as I greet this month, so I’ll be playing it again when the sun rises. 🙂 ☀️ 🌸 🐝 www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmZ-...

May morning, Primrose Hill. Such scenes! Felt very London and very pagan, all at the same time. Huge privilege to see it.

I got to see Roy perform this song live. Mesmerising performance. I took a Christian friend with me, who loved Folk music. Her face was like thunder during it 😄

Not all that surprising and I’m afraid I’m more sad that we’ve lost some of the smaller community run festivals that don’t get the media coverage. Still, hope it comes back next year.
Sad festival news this weekend:
Cambridge City Council, the organisers of the Cambridge Folk Festival, said the event had lost money in 2024, & it wanted to explore new opportunities ahead of its return in 2026.
EFDSS looks forward to its return next year.
