I would suggest that perhaps "For a Happy Thanksgiving" you should not issue your small child with a large axe and tell them to forage for their own dinner.

What makes this unusual are the colour images. These would have been hand painted in each copy, usually by women or children

Today, November 16th, is the anniversary of the first newspaper report detailing a sighting of Mothman.

It appeared in the Point Pleasant Register as front page news in 1966.

Was the sighting down to out of place migrating herons? Or cranes?

Or was it something else?

In Warwickshire, leaves and shoots from wild plants like young nettles, cleavers and ale hoof were added to the March brewing of a mild ale consumed by infants. Known as Herb beer, it was believed to help prevent “Spring rash”. 🧵
